We love horse-racing. If it wasn't for a particular horse, our restaurants probably wouldn't be here today.

We owned a small percentage of Mucho Macho Man - that lovable horse would go on to win the Breeder’s Cup Classic.

A very small stake in the horse Mucho Macho Man garnered enough earnings for us to buy a food truck and smoker, which eventually grew into the two Momma’s locations we have now.

During foalhood, MMM was nicknamed “Lazarus” because he appeared lifeless at birth, but spontaneously revived. He grew to be a very large horse, standing over 17 hands high.

Mucho Macho Man was named after the Village People song “Macho Man” and he went on to run the Triple Crown races. He finished third in the 2011 #KentuckyDerby and in 2013 he won the Breeder’s Cup Classic.

Cheers to Mucho Macho Man! Both locations are open normal hours to serve you our smoked goodness all weekend!
